April 3 - Pickens County ABATE Meeting 6:30 pm at Michael's Pizzeria in Easley, SC
April 5 - 100-Mile Benefit Donation Ride for Tammy Chapman
Ride starts & ends at David Garmon's motorcycle shop at 722b E. Main St., Easley. Registration starts at 10:
30 and ride leaves at 12:00. Stops include Riverview Tavern, Twisted Spoke, Last Chance, Miss Kitty's and
Whistle Stop. Prizes awarded at David's shop along with BBQ!!! $10 donation 1st card - $5 donation for
each extra card or passenger. All proceeds benefit Tammy Chapman who has stage 4 breast cancer. For

April 5 - Carolina Thrill Ride - 4th Annual Benefit Poker run for Community Long Term Care Client Fund
Register at The Twisted Spoke (Hwy 76, Pendleton). First bike out at 11:00, last bike out by 1:00; last bike in
by 5:00. $25/hand includes t-shirt, meal & music by MILLHILL. $15 for 2nd hand. Cash prizes & burn-out

April 12 - Greenville County ABATE Spring Diaper Run
Benefits the Greenville Rape Crisis & Child Abuse Center. Gather at NOON at Greenville Shrine Club, 119
Beverly Rd (off Rutherford Rd), Greenville. Ride out at 1:00. The center is in need of diapers, wipes, twin
fitted sheets (cheerful patterns), sweat pants & shirts (all sizes, toddler to adult). For more info, call Bubbles

April 12 - Look Twice Save Your Life Run & Fund Raiser - Promoting Motorcycle Awareness
Presented by the Motorcycle Awareness Alliance. Rain or shine! Register at Whitehall Extension in
Anderson 12:00 to 2:00 pm. Last bike in by 7:00 pm. $25 for hand and t-shirt. Best hand wins Weekend

May 3 - 12th Annual Ride for the Child (Rescheduled due to rain on April 19)
A benefit for Prevent Child Abuse Pickens County. Starts at Bi-Lo in Easley and ends at Upstate
Fairgrounds, registration any time between 10:00 and 12:00. $25 per vehicle and $10 per additional hand.
Stops include Redneck Engineering, Chick-fil-A, Timms Harley, Spinx & Aunt Sue's. Final cards drawn at the
Upstate Fairgrounds - also a free concert by Southern Kross. Winners announced by 4:00 pm. For more

May 9 - Blue Ridge Fest Blue Ridge Electric Coop, Main Street, Pickens, SC
6:00 pm - 10:30 pm largest cruise-in in the upstate. Proceeds go to charity. Free live entertainment.
May 10 - Blue Ridge Fest 11th Annual Charity Ride Blue Ridge Electric Coop, Main Street, Pickens, SC
Proceeds benefit local charities. Registration 8:30 - 11:00 am with blessing of the bikes at 9:00 am. Last
bike out by 11:00 am and last bike in at 2:15 pm. $25 registration fee, $10 per extra hand. Raffles for 2008
Harley Davidson Fat Boy and 2008 Fort Mustang GT - tickets $10 each. Winners announced at 2:30 pm.
$1000 best hand, $500 second best, $200 low hand and 50/50 cash giveaway. Ride starts and ends at Blue
Ridge Coop at 734 W. Main Street, Pickens, SC. Riders will follow a 100-mile route through mountains &
foothills of South Carolina.
